What birds have you got in it and is it easy maintenance?

Has any of your birds bred?

Answers:

I have a big aviary.

I breed budgies got about 100 flying round - only got 3 pairs in different cages, breeding at a time now.

Just got two cockatiels going to breed them soon.

Five kakarikis very hard to breed.

Two lovebirds (not sure if male & female.

and

Four chinese painted quails.

It's easy to clean, sweep up every fortnight, change thier water everyday and make sure they got plenty of seeds and treats every other day.

My husband and I pretty much have one. We only have 6 birds currently, but we do have 4 eggs that we are waiting to hatch. It's decently easy if you have the patience for the birds and you don't mind cleaning a lot. I think the hardest part is trying to make sure all of the birds are getting equal attention and are all able to get out of their cages daily to play around the house

My family owns an aviary and we own small parrots and straightbills. Our numbers vary quite a bit because of the breeding season and because we keep acquiring new species. Taking care of an aviary is not a physically hard job to do but it is time consuming and can be taxing on you mentally when, not if, problems arise.

yes i have got a aivary i am always in and out there aviary making sure they have got enough food and water to talk to them i have got five kakariki's i had three chicks last year and i have got two lovebirds with four chicks 2 zebra finches that are sitting on eggs

I used to have a ton of zebra finches in a LARGE cage (aviary). They bred like rabbits. I had to get rid of them when I moved.

Currently, just have a bird ROOM with two cockatoos who somehow haven't (yet) destroyed the office/walk-in closet.
