Answers:Do not give them Cabbage is bad for all birds - Diarrhea - Horrid
I give mine treats such as:
Salad Cress - Peas - Apple - Celery - Courgette - Sweetcorn - Watercress - Boiled Rice (white or brown) - Parsley Sprig - Grapes - Cucumber - Dandelion Leaves - Broccoli - Broard Beans - Carrott - Finger of bread soaked in water (white or brown) - Mashed Boiled Egg (shell also) - Tomatoes - Lettuce - Cooked Pasta - Radishes (leaves also) - Crackers - Crisps- Chips - Potoatoes
Our parakeet is addicted to seed but I've heard often that you can give them lettuce and grass.Just make sure the grass isn't cut from the side of the road because of pollution.
Sure do, try cheerios as a treat. You could also look for frozen veggies. Can veggies have to much sugar and salt in them. You can also cook them up some white rice, brown rice, some pasta, mac and cheese, some spaghetti O's, etc.. mind you all of this can go a long ways within moderation.
Good Luck!
Fruits and veggies are great fro your birds. Try them fresh, cooked( but cooled) , or dried.
