Get my budgie out of his cage
can someone give me steps to get my budgie out of his cage please
Answers:Put your finger next to his chest and pet him gently. Do it several times a day. He will get used to you. Then, try pushing gently between his chest and his legs, so that he will have to step up onto your finger. When he is good at this, try slowly pulling your hand, with him on it, out of the cage door. It is best to do this with the cage close to the floor in case he flies off when he gets out, so he doesn't crash to the floor.
good luck!
Every day, grab him gently in one hand. Just spend a minute or so looking him over, scratch his head gently, and then put him back, gently, so his feet can grab the perch.
Do it every day- twice if you want- if he bites the first few times just let him- it only hurts a little.
By the end of 3 weeks you should be able to start putting your finger in front of the lower part of his chest and push him just a very little bit, to encourage him to step onto your finger.
He just has to get used to your hand.
Patience. I found this works really good when I had to medicate a parakeet every day...by the time I was finished with the medicine routine he was pretty tame.
