Just wondering how old my female finch has to be before I put other females in the cage.
Answers:It doesn't matter how old the bird is. Just make sure that the others birds don't pick on your female finch. If they do start to pick on her. Take her out. You don't want them to kill her.
my wife and i just 'chuck them in' with the others. a little 'bluffing' agressiveness results butonly momentairly. they will be fine togather.
whenever it is old enought to feed itself. but you shouldnt put it with a male and expect eggs until it is 7 months old(that goes for the male aswell)
Age has nothing to do with it. Just make sure your cage is big enough such as a flight cage. Zebra's can get territorial if you have had one for a while and introduce another. You will have a feather plucked bird.
