How Do I Correct an incorrect phone number on the internet if I dont know the source2007-11-24 17:20:37

I Get about 3 calls on my landline a week about breeding of birds. Most people ask if I have Kookaburras. Some people ask If I am flying my Buzzard this weekend and others about various wild birds for sale. I usually miss these calls and get the messages on my voicemail.

I don't have anything to do with birds (well not the feathered type anyway!) but when I ask callers where they got my number they just say off the internet without being able to name a particular site. I have tried numerous search engines looking for breeders of kookaburras and such others to no success. It's driving me nuts!! HELP please somebody!!

Good Luck! Maybe a mate played a prank; perhaps you should have a message on the machine that says: "Hi, this is (your name), There aren't any buzzards or kookaburras at this number; they've left without a new number/address, so please don't leave a message for them."

Do a search for your telephone number instead, that should show you the pages that list it.
try typing ya phone number in on google
First, you want to find out what company they are TRYING to contact. Then, find the company and let them know about the mistake. Additionally, keep asking what website they are getting the number off of, if NOBODY can remember what company they are trying to call or what site they got the number off of, it may just be prank calls. Do a web search on your phone number with all of the major search engines to see what sites have your EXACT number on it.

If you cannot contact the company they are TRYING to reach, ask the sites to remove your number. They are more than likely (depending on your area) legally responsible to do so if you request it. Good luck!

It's also possab that your number & the number there trying to contact are being transposed

I.E.

555-3343 vs 555-3334

And if it's somthing like that you can either change your number, or have fun & say you'r the local KFC

What has this got to do with birds - go away!
