How do I teach my keets how to talk
my neighbor has a recording that plays much of the time. It is very low in volume. But you need to sepatete the male from the female.
Just repeat the same thing over and over again. But keep in mind, they won't sound like a parrot. Their words aren't as pronounced.
Repeat the same thing over and over and over and reward them when they start repeating it.

They usually don't talk if there are more than one in a cage and/or if you have a mirror in their cage. Otherwise you just have to repeat the same thing over and over. One day, when you are frustrated and when you have given up, it will talk.
keep saying only one or two words to them at a time. i had a couple when i was a kid, thats how i did it. my favorite uncle taught mine to say swear words n they got me in trouble lol
if ur tlkn about birds then jus say the same word over and over and over again or maybe they'll just pick up on it
Even though some of them learn how to talk, it is really hard to teach them but if you're patient, here is how:
FIrst of all, if you have them outdoors then you are never going to get them to talk unless you are in your backyard a lot. You need to have them somewhere where there is a lot of talking going on. The living room or kitchen is a good place. Since the cage is small, i'm assuming, and they're not messy birds, then having them indoors should be no problem. Everyday, when you get home, go up to the cage and say hi to them in which ever way you find suitable. You can say "hi hedwig" or "i'm home". They should learn how to talk by hearing everyone around them talk. Be careful, however, because they will repeat things that you say a lot. Don't let them hear you say anything that you don't want them to say back. ;-)
the males are the ones who usually talk but you have to teach it when it is young and you keep repeating the same thing over and over again every day for 15 minutes. Females is rare that they talk. So I hope this helps.

Practice, practice, practice.
If they are young you can get them on your finger and put them close to your lips and keep repeating the same words over and over and maybe you will be rewarded with them repeating what you say to them. Good luck.
start with a word that has the k sound or b sound for example cutie these sounds are easy for the first word even though they can learn hello its not the easiest word for them then. say it to them every time you play with it and when you pass by the cage eventually it may suprise you.
