I have just seen a baby bird - is this possible at this time of year or is it just very small2007-11-24 17:22:41Answers:

Does it fly? Is it alone? If it appears fine, then it's probably just small and I wouldn't do anything about it. It will find it's own for the winter.

I suppose this would depend on where you live. In Australia it is spring so seeing a young bird is very common lol.

It is possibly a baby what with the warm weather, although the recent cold spell would more than likely have killed it. It is more probable it was a Dunnock, Wren or even one of the many Tit's.

Hi if you live in the UK then it is possible that you have seen a baby bird.the season as been much longer than usual & things are a bit messed up with the milder weather like the ragwort as seeded twice this year when normally it's only once & many other plants are pretty much the same which will give you an indication as to how the weather really is.all this influences birds & the breeding.however those that are too small might have a rough time of it now the weather is turning fast.

No one can answer your question with a good answer if you dont say what country or state you live in.Weather is different all over the year.In texas we have 2 garden seasons so I would guess that its possible for birds to hatch anytime of the year in certain parts of the world.

The only bird that i am aware of that breeds all year round is the feral pigeon, Which i presume you would recognise. If you didn`t then it could be a winter visitor from the north or an escaped aviary bird of some kind.
