I have two parekets (i know i spelled it wrong) and i need a list of nutrious and good tasteing food. plz help

Answers:

Go to the pet store and buy a bag of food with fruits in it.

and the taste doesn't matter because birds don't have taste buds.

Just make sure it's not an all seed diet because that's bad for them.

You can buy bulk seeds and grains from the pet shops. Millet, oats, tiny chopped corn, wheat, milo, flax seed , rye, thistle seed and many more. Wal-mart also sells a good brand of parakeet food but it is dusty and needs to be rinsed off with water. To have healthy, happy birds , you need to give them selected grain.

I cook parrot mix which the budgies enjoy. I had to teach them to eat it by slowly taking away seed and adding more mix. You can also feed pellets but I feel this is un natural and pellets only can cause other problems.

For only 1 or 2 birds you can cook a mix - make sure a fine grind and freeze it in ice cube moulds. Take out 1 cube a day defrost , add a little crushed or small pellet a bit of seed and some fruit or veggies chopped or grated budgie size.
