I need find someone to care for my birdserious answers please

We got our sun conure in May - adopted her. She was in a basement with a barking dog for a long time. Then she went to another home and the lady could not care for her or handle the screaming of the bird. So, my boyfriend brought her home one day and I've been taking care of her and working on taming her so that she can be held and petted with out any difficulty. She is doing really good. But now the economy is so bad up here in south east Michigan - we just descided to do over the road team semi driving for a living (can't find anything else that pays as good) - and we will be gone for weeks at a time and I will no longer be home enough to care for her. Does anyone have any good suggestions? I wish I could just leave her with someone who will take really good care of her - but I already asked everyone I know.I feel really bad for her - she has been sent from home to home enough already! I really love her and want the best for her.

I know it's unrealistic to ask you to consider taking her in a semi. The fumes from gas and weigh stations could even be lethal to her.

Have you checked whether there are any parrot rescues near you? A parrot rescue will make anybody who wants to adopt your baby prove that they're a good home, and they check on the bird periodically for a while after adoption. Most of them make prospective owners take classes on parrot rearing. They'll keep your birdie as long as it takes to adopt out, unlike an animal shelter, so even if it's far away, I'd say it's worth the drive.
