I released my white garden Doves yesterday, the male hasnt come back2007-11-24 17:22:32
They were homed for a full 6 weeks (as is done for English garden Doves) We allowed them out, the male flew high and didn't return, the female has been out and about today, looking for him, but she did sleep in her Dovecot last night. Do the males sometimes take a day or two to return, or have we lost him? I'm hoping that if she sees him, she'll lure him back. She's visited my friends Doves round the corner, so I'm told.
Answers:didnt know you could keep doves like that, seems exciting, hope he does come back
my dad has pigeons, sometimes they take their time coming back. occasionally they never return. a white dove would be easy pickins for a raptor
it might of found love and is staying there maybie it wants to be free or just dos'nt like you.i dont know any thing about doves except they can bob there heads into there body!
and very tasty he was too, thanks
depending where you got them it may be trying to returning to its previous home
