Then you need to get is a few small toys. And talk to the bird a lot and carry it around on your sholder.

You might want to get a book and learn to clip the wings. This will make the bird depend on you because it can't fly. Plus it will not be able to fly out the door when someone comes in or out.

cockatiel seed from the pet shop. my birds like privet toast and cheese. they make lovely pets, and you can teach them to talk.

u can feed her millet,as for her not coming near u she's not handreared, so all u can do is talk 2 her

Food go to the local pet store and find a mix feed which is normally for budgies and cockatiels. The bird will relax soon just be patient she will come near you soon.

Cockatiels will eat all kinds of seed. There are mixtures made for them at the pet shops; but they will also eat budgie seed. They like canary grass seed and millet but will eat sunflower and hemp when the weather turns cold. They enjoy a bit of fresh food too; in summer I pick wild grasses for mine (making sure it has not been sprayed with pesticide etc.) and I also give them a fresh salad every day made up from beansprouts and spinach stems and chopped walnuts. I also saw some young cockatiels in the pet shop really enjoying some lettuce leaves . most green veggies are good for them.
