If the bird is well taken care of, fed a good diet etc they can live up to 30 + years. My oldest cockatiel was 20 when she died, so you can look forward to quite a few more years of companionship.

Depending on diet anywhere from 5-30 years (in my research some sites say 32!) Please make sure your tiel is on a properly balanced diet.
