Theres a bird with a broken wing on my doorstep, who do I call to help me out2007-11-24 17:16:53

I've never touched a bird in my life and I'm actually afraid to try and pick it up myself. Is there a professional I can call to help?

u can try but if u are scared i think u shouldn't so i say get someone to pick it up like mom or dad or friend and take him to the vet

I've heard they have lice ( I could very well be wrong).. so I wouldn't touch it.. if it's a normal everyday outside bird (i don't know the name) I think you are out of luck.. no one will come for it.

Put you best make up on - do your hair - put a mini skirt on - spray a nice pefume - go back to the front door and say to the first man that comes along

sadly. most people would not care enough about the bird and say that thet cannot make a trip to your house just for a little bird. if you are not successful in getting help, you should do what is right and end the birds life quickly and painlessly as possible, because he is probably in alot of pain.

but give feed him some milk soaked bread first. the perfect last meal for a bird.

Get a cardboard box or plastic storage box to put it in.
