pros and cons please, any info appreciated

I have 4 Guinea Hens. I absolutely adore them! They are comical, and busy. But, they are rather loud as well. When one gets separated from the flock they carry on something shocking until they are reunited. I don't have a problem with them making a mess of my gardens, but I have 6 acres for them to roam. A small suburban garden might be different. Mine have never shown any aggression towards me what so ever. Even when they were brooding I was able to reach under them and check the eggs. Why would they keep snakes off your property?

They wouldnt mess with your vegetable or flower garden if you watch them while their outside or if they were in a run.

A Guinea as in the bird right? I'm not sure about Guineas haven't really seen one live before.

No they will not mess in the gardens just make sure that they have a place off the ground to roost and plenty of water. they will find food so they shouldn't need feeding much. If you have a lake or pond ducks and geese will also do the trick. the only problem with ducks and geese is they make to much noise. We had guineas that we let out during the day to eat and we had a pin for them that they roosted in at night and once you get them trained they will go in the pin easily at the end of the day

I don't know any cons offhand, but I do know they eat a ton of insects. If you have problems with ticks and mosquitoes, guineas will help tremendously.

Yes they would definitely mess with the vegetable patch and flowers with their constant digging and scratching for insects.
