I gave him tuna with mayo(he ate a lot). he's thrown up a few times since last night. he cant seem to hold too much water down. in little sips it's ok. will the food finally digest. did he just upset his stomach?

As a responsible parrot owner, I am often puzzled by what some other 'responsible' parrot owners feed their birds! I don't know about you, buy I don't know of many parrots or other birds for that matter who would find tuna mayo in their natural diet. Now you need to do the responsible thing, and take your bird to an Avian Vet for swift attention. Birds deteriorate very quickly when they are ill, and you may not have much time.

A vomiting parrot is not a good sign. It would be a good idea to see the vet just to be sure.

Sometimes they may regurgitate food on you because they like you, but yeh, this does sound like he may be sick.

Next time, just give him the tuna without mayo. Birds are meant to eat fish but not processed human food.

You didnt state what kind of a Prrot that you own. If you own a Parrot you should educated yourself on what type of a diet they should be on, and Tuna dfish is not something that we would be feeding our parrots at Borrowed Rainbow Aviadry.

Is your bird hand reared? It is said that male birds, through up when in love. But at the same time it is best to take him to an avian vet to get him checked out. They have fragile systems. Normal vets are generally not qualified or trained to treat birds so it would be best to go with an avian vet.
