URGENT How do you take care of a blue jay egg that has fallen out of its nest

I have just found a blue jay egg (actually it was my neighbor) and i NEED to know how to take care of it! My neighbor touched it and the mom won't take it back! I DON'T WANT THE BABY TO DIE ! How can I take care of it? Do you know of any websites? PLEASE HELP!!

Okay.let me clear up some things for you..the reason the mom would not take it back has NOTHING to do with anyone touching the eggs.birds cannot smell much of anything, and it would not care who touched it's eggs or what it smelled like.more likely if the parent is dropping the egg from the nest then something is probably wrong with the egg..probably unviable. You did not say if the egg was replaced back into the nest or what? Was a nest even seen or was the egg just on the ground randomly? If on the ground randomly it could have been dropped there by a predator who took it out of the nest. How long has the egg been out of the nest? SO MUCH information you did not give..so really hard to help you not knowing what the circumstances of finding this egg are!! Also, it is very late in the season for eggs to still be in nests, most birds are done breeding at this time of the year.how do you know that the parents are not raising young and this egg did not hatch and was just sitting in there under the chicks? Could be the case if it was the only egg in the nest. If you want to try and hatch the egg you would need an icubator, and you would have to turn the egg periodically, and if it did hatch what would you do with the bird..as it is illegal to own such a bird. I think you might try and get the egg to a wildlife rehab if the egg is viable. You should try and candle the egg to see what is inside.
