WANT to get a Cherry head conure
Hi. i want to get a cherry head conure. My problem is, i spend 12-13 hours away from home each day. We leave home at 8 30 in the morning and come back at 9. do you think i should get the bird? coz he'll be left alone in the house for 12 hrs a day.. plz suggest if i should get one or not.

Birds are smart. It's not fair to leave a smart, social bird all alone all day.
Also, they scream.

It's instinctive behavior and they can't be trained out of it.
They are loudest at dawn and dusk. Even on weekends and days off your bird will have you (and the neighbors) up at dawn.
The vet tech program I attended had one. You could hear him screaming over 12 resident dogs, through a cinder block kennel AND across the length of a soccer field.
I'm not exagerating how much they scream. Or how loud.
Reconsider pets for now. Or get something that won't miss you. Like a reptile, or fish. Not cuddly, I know, but, really, how would you feel cooped up all day?
