When A Chicken Lays An Egg Where Does The Egg Shell Come From? What Is It Made Out Of. Does It Just Appear In The Chickens Stomach?? How Does The Chick Get Inside?!

Answers:An egg is produced in the ovary much like a woman's egg.
From the time the egg is produced it travels down the Ovumduct. All the while the shell is forming around the egg from calcium/minerals produced by the hen.
By the time it is time to lay the egg,the shell is complete.
If the egg is fertilized,much like a woman's egg then a chick will grow.
According to the information I researched online,there was no mention of a uterus.

High School Biology 101: The eggs shell is drawn from the calcium reserves the bird has in its bones. Once the eggs are laid the bird has to replenish its supply through cuttle-bone, oyster shell etc. some form of calcium. It is also not in the birds stomach. Birds have a uterus. The chick is formed from a fertile yolk and grows inside the shell like a human womb. The egg shell is porous so the chick can breath and receive moisture through the shell and waste is passed through the membranes by osmosis. Class dismissed. {:0)
