Of wild birds, I like the cedar waxwing... it looks so smooth! Of bird kept as pets, I have lots of favorites - I love watching the antics of budgies but I also love the intelligence of larger parrots such as african greys and macaws!

Parakeets, they're reletivaly quiet, easy to take care of, can make really good pets, and they're small enough that when they crap on you its not a big deal. :D
