What do baby ducks eat
we found a baby duck in our yard and we need some tips on how to take care of it.. so it lives.
Answers:I have been researching baby ducks lately and found out that you can buy baby duck food. Your local feed or Ag store should carry it, just ask them for duck starter food. Make sure it says duck on the label since chicken food can contain additives that are dangerous to ducklings. You also need to provide constant water for the little one but be very careful that he does not drown, babies need to learn to swim and depending on his age he may/may not know how yet. Careful to keep him warm and away from other pets. Go to the link i list in my source and read up on them, it has a great deal of useful information. you should just leave it there, because the mommy douck might b lokkin for the little duck or something. they peck the grass. so you kinda don't have to feed it
feed it steak...baby ducks are very blood thirsty.
well peta wont like this but they eat eachother. so go find another one and let them "play".

soak some bread in a little milk until it's soft. If it's a wild duck, the mother is probably looking for it though.
Do NOT feed it bread, bread kills ducks. You may be able to find a duck food at your local pet supply store, if not pick up wild bird seed. Also be sure the mother duck still isnt around, it may have just wandered a little too far.
you can make some oatmeal, or give some canned peas, cottage cheese. Then go buy duck mash at the feed store.
Feed it chicken food. Find a feed store and buy some starter crumble and feed Daffy that for at least eight weeks. If your feed store has duck food, even better.
