A small dog. Get a really furry one and you can use it to dust with too. They are quite the multipurpose pet.

I think that hamsters and gerbils are great pets, but you need to make sure and keep up on keeping the cage clean. You can set up mazes for them, or obstacle courses. They're relatively inexpensive too.

A Rat.there's nothing better. Extremely tame, intelligent & keep you laughing constantly. They act like crazy little loyal dogs. They come when they are called, live for your company, and will do just about any thing for treats. They live about 2-3 years if you take excellent care of them. Rats are awesome.

CATS! (just make sure there fixed. especially if they're a female. then they make really anoying noises at night. it attracts all kinds of other animals. including non-cats)

I love my bird. He is now 23 years old and I have enjoyed every minute of it!

He sings and dances and flies around the house. All entertaining.

Chinchillas, they provide plenty of entertainment and are so soft. They can be trained some tricks, and are just so cute to look at. However they do require a bit up up keep. They are a bit High Manintence, but such a joy.

A turtle would be really fun,but a lil' expensive.You'd need to get a 55 gallon tank ranging from $50-$200.You need to get alot of stones for the bottom of the tank which you can get for free from your sidewalk or park,but if you want to get pretty stones buy them.Then after you put the stones in fill it up halfway with water.Then you got to buy one of those special floating rocks from your pet store that costs anywhere from $10-$25.Then to buy the turtle itself which depending on what kind it is the turtles range from $20-$450 depending on the species of turtle.Then you have to buy them food.They eat greens like green beans lettuce and carrots,squid depending on the species.So turtles are really high maintenance but fun because it's fun to watch them swim around and you can let them explore your room,just make sure you don't lose the turtle.You can also take the turtle outside in your front yard to explore.It doesn't sound fun but it is,trust me i've owned on before!
