I had lots of fun with my chickens!
you must have the chick caged on his/her own for 3 weeks with clean wood shavings in the pen.
wash the chick with baby shampoo,use a tooth brush on the stubborn marks and rinse well.
continue every 3 days until clean.
any pin feathers (check they have no blood in)can be combed using a junior hacksaw blade.
spray the chicks very heavy for week 1.lightly for week two this will encourage them to prune.
do not spray on the week before the event this will allow the natural plume to enhance.
on the early morning of the event put a little baby oil on the beak,cere and legs using a cotton wool bud.presentation is important.
