Whats the minimum room temperature for a budgee to be comfortable2007-11-24 17:26:14

I live in a climate not unlike Seattle, and my old house has no heaters. I worry about my birds - what's the minimum temperature they find acceptable, do you know?

Answers:

They are actually pretty hardy little guys.

My only concern for them would be at night.

Cover their "Room" snugly with a blanket, leaving a few inches loose in a corner yet tucking it in at all the rest of the corners and they will have a nice tent. The tent will hold their own body heat, yet giving them air.

I am aware you take in rescues. If you have plucked birds, and it gets cold in the winter, a "happy hut" is in order!

Please try and google information on this. If you can't, Let me know and I'll assist with this information.

If you mean a Budgie then I think the 85 degrees F.
about 70 degrees I have three parakeets/budgies and that's what they told me at petco.
whatever is comfortable for you will be comfortable for them

cover them at night

I was told by my Pet store and read in some other places that it can be as low as 60F. But that if they are exposed to breezes from open windows, fans or whatever --any temp. will feel cooler and not be good for them. And of course if they get wet-even from their bath-also will put them at risk if the temp in the air is on the lower end.
