I never thought much about birds, until I met my friends cockatoo. He was a very affectionate and fun loving bird. Really noisy, but he liked it when I scratched his neck and head, and he loved to play.

I think my favorite is the albino peacock. Their tails are so beautiful (like a lace fan).

The Wren. When I hear their song I know it is Spring. Also, they were my deceased Mother's favorite bird and I think of her whenever I hear their beautiful song.

I personally like the blue and gold macaws the best but there is nothing like the umbrella cockatoo. If your looking for an affectionate bird the cockatoo is the best. They are cuddly, extremely friendly, and very easy to train. I have worked with all varieties of birds including exotics and have found that a cockatoo will come and demand your affection and will curl up on you just like a dog and will sit there for hours.

Mine is a parakeet! I know they are small, but my parakeet, Eddie, I treat him like he was my son! He has schedules on when he comes out of his cage, clean his cage all teh time, and i just love to talk to him!!! Parakeets are great companions!!!

I like cockateils.They r so talkative and good company too.I have one and she is so good.cockateils have a longer tail than cockatoos.but cockatoos r good birds too.
