When will my budgies start breeding
I bought two budgies nearly exactly one year ago, one male, one female, and I have looked on the internet and according to websites they are both ready two breed appearance wise, they have a breeding box, I always find them grooming each other and kissing.
Answers:The only thing that I can comment on that you might be missing is that you don't have enough breeding pairs. A single pair will very rarely breed. Four pairs, in the same room, are the minimum for successful breeding. It seems like you got most of it right! If it isn't this I can only say, be patient and they will mate when they are ready!

keets can start breeding at 9 months. now that the days are getting longer, it could be anytime now, i recommend adding some shredded paper to the cage... a little to the box, and a little to the bottom of the cage. they will know what to do. and its fun to watch them build.
