Where to buy goose eggs in Canada
I'm really stumped. I'm looking for goose eggs, because I want to raise a goose for a pet, but I live in Saskatchewan, Canada, and I don't know anyone in Canada who raises geese and can sell me some fertile eggs. I have a hovabator incubator with a fan and have used it several times with good hatch rates, and I have indeed rehabilitated a few ducklings and goslings before when it was necessary, and have lots of knowledge on geese - but I just can't find anyone with goose eggs! Can someone please help?
Answers:Try the Uni. of Guelph or Alberta--both have poultry science extension programs & may have a list of breeders or other resources.
There's a site called eggbid.com where you can also buy geese eggs, but most sellers are based in the states, & I'm not sure how easy shipping eggs across the border is...
