Which species of birds (wild or domestic) are able to mimic the human voice2007-11-24 17:26:55Answers:
Actually parrots or hook bills do not mimic the human voice, only language. Mynas and Starlings can however speak in the exact voice and speech of a human! I own 3 starlings, one of which greets visitors hello in my own voice! They are very young (4 months) and have not learned any other mimics except that of a ringing telephone (which I run to answer every time.lol!) and a cat meow.

Well, I know cockatoos can mimic the human voice, as can some species of parrots. I've heard this wild story that if you cut a raven's tongue in the middle.so that it is split like a snake's that it can learn to mimic you. But that's probably not true.
