budgies react to noise. depending on the type of music that is on the hits channel will depend on their reaction. if it is a lot of chatter that you are hearing it is because the music is to loud, to rowdy or just not to their liking in some way. if they seem to be singing along then they like it.

Birds love music actually. Any noise really. I have a Green Cheek Conure that if the tv is loud he goes nuts.and he doenst even have to be in the same room as the tv. They do it alot for attention. Most likely when your watching tv or listening to music your not giving them your full attention and they will notice and react. Nothing to worry bout. Tottaly normal!

They are very sociable and love noise and music. If you leave the same station on and it repeats songs frequently you will begin to notice that your budgies are developing preferences for certain songs. They will actually chirp and chatter in time with the music once they learn a few songs.

Music sound to them like a flock of birds chattering at the same time, it's exciting and they like it. My birds LOVE the radio and TV.
