Why do you never see baby Pigeons

Why do you never see baby Pigeons2007-11-24 17:27:32Answers:

because they are fully grown by the time they leave the nest & fly! they grow really quickly. I know someone that has been looking after a baby pigeon for the past 2 weeks & it is fully grown already!

The same reason you rarely see any baby birds, or other animals for that matter, they stay in the nest til they are big enough to leave and fend for themselves!
They are incredibly shy.
Because they are born without feathers and by the time they get feathers and can fly they are almost as big as the adult bird. You see them but they look so much like an adult you can't tell them apart other than the beak won't be black but kind of pale tan.
See my answers.
Cause the Red Tailed Hawk would get them
I've been wondering the same thing for years. I think they wait till everyone looks away and then just spontaniously split into two fully sized pigeons.
lol
I've seen baby pigeons. when one repeatedly built a nest in the rafters above my carport. I can't even BEGIN to tell you what a nasty mess THAT makes on the roof of your car!
exactly the same reasons when this question was last asked, and will be the same reasons next time it's aksed
I've seen them - they are as ugly as sin. Filthy nasty pests!
If you've ever seen a baby Robin - you know that some baby birds dwarf the size of their parents in rapid time. Chances are you are seeing baby pigeons but they are adult sized. Often you can only tell which bird is the baby by behavior. If you mean tiny baby pigeons - as in nestlings - pigeons keep their babies out of sight and tucked away in cities in places you wouldn't ordinarily think to look - high up in the nooks and crannies of buildings, crannies of bridge underpasses.
eurggh, who would sleep with a pigeon..oh..
Because they wear dark glasses and a rain mac, hanging around alley ways, learing to crap on people from a great height.
