Why does my Quaker parrot always try to injure me
He won't do anything to everyone else in the household, but everytime I get near him he runs/flies at me with his beak wide open and occasionally bites hard enough for me to bleed. He also wants to fly over to our cocketiel cage and harass them from outside of the cage, how can I stop him from doing this, other than clipping his wings?
Answers:quaker parrots are very territorial. I would suspect that he shows this aggression only when you are near to his cage.
You will have to ensure that he cannot get to the cockatiel because he could injure or kill him. A period of retraining is needed. I suggest you get a book called 'the guide to a well behaved parrot' by Mattie Sue Athan and start some training but you will have to do it away from his cage.
He wants his oats
then dont startle him intentionally. birds, like other house pets, need love & affection. Try NOT to clip his wings, becoz if one day u run outta patience w/ him, getting rid of a 'disabled' birdie will only bug ur conscience. Try to talk to the person who sold u this bird, and do always try to feed him on time. I heard birds, esp. those w/ brains (eg parrots) can get cranky when theyre hungry
Our Quaker is a bully to anyone who puts up with it. I don't know what changes them once they learn they can do it. Clpping his wings is fine as long as there are no big animals he needs to escape from. Or lock up the other pets while he's out. And for the answer by zaranzt their feathers grow back naturally. He'll need to be clipped again if he hasn't changed his behavior. Good luck with him
HE DOESNT LIKE U

Clipping his wings is the only option. You should also make sure he is in a cage that is at least 20" x 24", larger is better. Please be careful the Quaker will harm the cockatiel.
