Why is my parakeet bobbing his head up and down like hes crazy2007-11-24 17:27:35
Hey consider yourself LUCKY, your parakeet has rythm!
He's crazy
If you look anything like your avatar then he's probably doing some kind of mating dance.
It is just happy. Parakeets try to mate in the spring, not the fall.
because your clown hair is frightening him? LOL
He is in a playful mood.
If it is a new and very young bird they will head bob t beg for food.
He's excited, maybe to see you or he does want a mate.
he might be trying to regurgitate food my kakariki does quite often to my finger bobs his head really fast and sumtimes brings up food
my parakeets are young -- the male does that and feeds the female.
no its just what birds do. perfectly normal
he's just playing, my bird always used to do it. that dosnt mean hes sick or anything, dont think that just let him do it and if he keeps going on and on then get it another bird to mate with. who nos maybe hes trying to sing

why does my parakeet regurgitate? Answers:
My parakeet, Chico, does it all the time. He's a year and a half old. He has never once tried to regurgitate or mate with me, so my bets are he's either looking for attention, or he just likes to dance. (He also does a left to right shuffle with the head bob.) ;-)
