take a look at this photo

the bird I found last night looks very much like it. Very good health condition, just could not fly. About a pound heavy with wing span of foot and a half
I want to give it into private hands (farm)
any suggestions, thanks
Answers:I have seen the pictures and answered another of your questions. I tell you it is a Northern Harrier Hawk also known as a Marsh hawk.

not me
A vet migth know some people that take wild birds in even if it isnt a wild animal vet.
you have a barn owl
You may be able to talk to a zoo about it or find a bird reservation
In most areas it is illegal to house, maintain and raise wildlife in captivity without proper license (i.e., your home or someone else's "farm"). There are many wonderful wildlife rescue organizations and bird conservatory groups all over the country and perhaps if you do a Google search you'll find one in your area to drop the bird off into well-informed, legitimate hands in the hopes of having it be released back into the wild once it learns how to fly, and they'll know just how to properly feed and take care of it until it does. Thanks & good luck!
