came someone give me some tips on birds2007-11-24 17:18:55

there is this bird that for the last week has been crashing into our windows, i recon if it keeps going the window will break. Every minute it does it, all day. Cant park my car in the car port otherwise the will be bird poo all over it. Does someone know how the stop this bird before i kill it.

Some birds get confused when they see the "other bird" in the window. Many birds are very territorial and will try to drive away the "interloper". Try sticking up some silouhets of falcons (available at most pet stores or feed stores) to discourage this. If this doesn't work, you could call your local humane society or wildlife rescue and they will come and remove the bird for you.

Close your curtains for a few hours a day.. the bird will stop 'seeing itself', and become discouraged, and give up.

it is attacking it's own reflection in your window.it thinks this is another bird. You need to put something on your window so it cannot see it's reflection. Put something there so the bird knows this is a solid object and will not try to fly through it.
