We have had 4 nanday conures, my husband says the color of their feet & beak. He's been right on so far. But for me you have to hold the bird, rub the vent the wider, it is a female. The smaller the vent then it is a male. That is the way you can tell with all birds. Good luck
You can't. They are "monomorphic" meaning you can't tell the sex of the bird without a DNA test.
"Zoogen" is one company that does DNA testing if you are interested in finding out the sex of the bird.
Phoenix has it right, you need a blood test. Good thing is, they're not expensive.

very easy i have used this method for 47 years.
thread a sawing needle with cotton approx 6 inch in lenght then holding the cotton dangle the needle over the birds head,the needle will swing either to the left and right ( a hen) or it will rotate(a *).
