how do i take care of an injured bird
I rescued a bird today that had flown into my pool, but it hasn't flown away yet. Its one eye is swollen shut, I made it a little nest out of hay and I put it under a tree outside. Does it just need more time to regroup itself maybe? Will it eventually fly away on its own?
Answers:give it water, and research what type bird it is and try to give it some on the ground next to it, they will know what water is if they can see it.don't smother it, but a little hay in an open box in the garage would be ok. I've saves a couple birds this way, one after a hail storm (took at least a week, a mourning dove). one day it just flew off. another one just needed a few hours to get its senses back
It may need a little time to heal. Try to give it some water. If you find a worm or bug, try feeding it to the bird. I found a bird once and gave it to a friend who worked at a pet store who nursed it back to health.
breading and deep frying.
kidding.
is it a baby?
either way keep it warm, put an ointment into its eye, ask ur local shelter what u can put.
try giving it some vitamins in apple/banana/other mashable frit pulp, it really helps.. vitamins.
just about a few drops, 3ml maybe
i think it should be okay as long as its not a veyr small baby
