how m,any years can the White Cockatoo Cacatua live up to?i want a bird that lives as long as me(p.s. im 13)

Answers:

Cockatoos and large parrots can make it to 100.but most don't make it past 80, and some die when they're 60. It all totally depends on care and when you get it, and other stuff.

do not get a bird! i have a bird! they are super annoying! it is also mean to keep them in a cage. if your going to keep your bird in a cage read this poem http://www.potw.org/archive/potw219.html. if your not going to keep it in a cage and let it fly around your house it is very disgusting and annoying because it chews things up such as books, papers, anything you have around, and they poop everywhere (we keep our bird flying around the house) getting a bird is a pain in the butt! get a cat or dog!

i have a cockatoo and i had a macaw they tend to outlive most owners! only thing i find bad about cockatoos is that they CRAVE attention they are like lil babies that NEED to be loved and spoiled..and trust me they will squak at the worst times just to get your attention or just for pure enjoyment. they are super cool pets tho..most tend not to speak as well as others and if they do only the owners will understand half of what they say..but they are good around people and they love being center of attention.all in all i love mine its like my own lil baby wit feathers!! LOL
