The eggs are usually about the size of your pinky finger nail when it is cut. Different types of finches lay different colored eggs, but often the same number.

Second, breeding your birds can be an enjoyful process. But, there are many things you may need to consider. What will you do with the babies? Where will you put them? You can definetly breed your finches, just don't over do it and be loaded with unhealthy inbreeds.

Third, make sure the couple is a true pair. If they show affection for each other such as grooming then that is a sign. The will often follow each other around and sleep side by side. If it is a true pair there is a good chance you will have hatchlings.
