how to breed senagal parrots and what size cage do i need
Senegal's i have found quite easy to breed the cage should be boarded at the back and the 2 sides unless you have them in a aviary size as long as its bigger than 3ft by 3ft or the bigger the better , put a breeding box in the cage about a foot by a foot ,and put some very fine pieces of straw on the floor of your cage / aviary and a few bits of wool and make sure you put at least 4 pieces of cuttle fish in with the birds i lost my first female because she was egg bound i had one piece of cuttle fish in the cage and forgot to replace it when they had eaten it and put a mineral block in as well . i hope this helps , "B"
u can only tell the sex of a senegal by a blood/dna test. u need a pretty big cage (3 times the sizes of the bird) I have 1 but i got it from somone who abused it so its vicious now.shame cuz he/she (charlie) is beautiful
Why do you wish to imprison birds in a cage. Instead can you teach the bird to live with you and be free?
Obviously it will depend upon the number of birds you wish to place in them and how quickly you will sell the new birds on
I would suggest a minimum of 10 cubic metres
some of the parrots are not fertile unless they can fly
try to build as big a cage as you can for your breeder
pair
i used to have some nice sized cages 6x3 that were good
for medium sized birds
