how to get my budgies to talk2007-11-24 17:21:46
i have 2 budgies i think there girls im not sure there ceres change colour but anyway, they are nearly a year old and one of them will not go near us yet, tho the other one will happily jump on your finger and sit on your shoulder, it sounds like its trying to say pretty pretty and it has said it once before but does anyone no how we could get it to say it again, we always say it and it just chirps back in budgie langugue but sounds like its trying to say it
Answers:Just keep talking to them. And start out with one syllable words first, like hi. After one starts the other will follow too. The more different sounds they make the better. That means they are at least trying. Don't give up. This may take a while, but it will work if you are patient!
shine alight in their faces and interrogate them like the gestapo in old WWII films, should work
you just have to catch the bird the next time she says it. when she says it next, feed her more food or bird treats.basically give her a reward for saying the word and she will catch on and learn that you like it when she says it. keep talking to her and she will talk back to you more - she will pick up more words.
The best way is to keep repeating simple, one syllable words over and over again.. It might and probably will learn to repeat
u cant
