Answers:She may be more used to it if you put the bath tub in after the water bowl. Or, she just might like the water bowl better.

i have the same problem with my conure(ozzy) she will go in shower bathe in sink or waterbowl but never her birdie bath

If your lovie is a small bird she probably did the same thing before you adopted her. I had a pocket parrot that did the same thing. When he was out of his cage, I offered a bowl of water for a bath. I used the same bowl all the time so he would get used to it. Over a period of several weeks, he got used to the bowl and would take a bath in it maybe once a month. haha, that was as much as he wanted to do with the bowl. He continued to bathe in the water dish in the cage and refused to use the water bottle feeder. However, I got my cockatiel a water bottle, took out the water dish and offered her the same bowl every time for a bath and she took to it pretty quickly. Birds are all different, just try different things and, there is no such thing as the "wrong" way for your bird to take a bath. Hope this helps. may your lovie grow old with you.
Birds will bathe in their cages where they find it comfortable.Since it drinks out of this water, it will most likely bathe in it too.Since your bird is a smaller one, it's going to be harder to train them! The best thing that you could do would be to keep the tub out of the lovies cage, and introduce her to a water bottle! My conure gets his water from a water bottle similar to that you give hamsters, so when I take him out and put him near the sink he goes for it! So I guess it just depends on what type of habits you want your bird t have, good luck!
