if you walk by the cage they behave like they want to bite you one is male one is female

Answers:

yes, you need to clip their wings first of all.wear a thick glove when trying to handle them and always try to hold them at the same time of the day or night every time you want to hold them. be very slow and gentle when holding them, and talking to them.offer a little treat to them also when holding them.good luck.I love mine, they can be alot of fun when you get them trained.

if they were not hand fed as babies, they will act like this, sorry.
Get some bitter apple spray and let them bite where you sprayed it. It has a bad taste.
Crazy Glue Their Little Beaks Together LOL (Just Joking)
Like babies they explore the world with their beaks and mouths. If they are kept in cages all the time they may not be socialized to people. The best way to socialize is with gentle handling.
they are probably mates and when you approach them they think you are trying to seperate them so this is why they are hostile toward you. I heard getting one bird is better if want it to become friendly otherwise 2 birds just want to be with each other or fight if they do not like each other.
They are being territorial. They have an inner need to be protective of one another. Seperating them might work, but only with time and patience. Approach the bird slowly and talk very soothingly to it. If it goes to bite, back away. Never scold the bird, it's only doing what comes naturally. Birds beaks aren't weapons, they only bite in what they believe is self defense.
One of mine tries to bite but only if I try to get hold of it. I think cockateels are have individual characters. I can't imagine why they should try to bite you. Is it a particular colour that you are wearing. Some parrots hate bright red.
get a glove handle them a lot and persevere.only time and a lot of handling will help.
#1 most important.TWO CAGES and NO MIRRORS. Tiels are notorious in the way you described. Get them apart, the further the better. Then slowly re-introduce yourself. It will take time, they are birds, not dogs. But you can do it! If kept together, as birds all flock, they will bond to eachother and consider YOU the intruder, the predator.
for get bitter apple cocateils have no taste buds all you have to do is everyday put your hand in slowly a little at a time they will get use to your hand or sometimes you think they might be biting but remember birds don't have hands to pull them self's on to your hand that's how they hold on
Mine does the same thing. But I let him out of his cage and he attacks your head, or tries to run around on the floor and bite you. I think some, if you get them from the pet store when they're too old, develope an aggressive personality.
First of all NEVER invaide their space. their cage is their space. you need to coax them out, i use millet on my birds, i let them taste it, then let them see me put it on top of the cage. they will be interested. then you may try to handle them. if you reach inside the cage they will act teritorial and bite.
