i saw this bird today2007-11-24 17:22:32
it looked like a bird of prey..it was about the size of a crow but was very pale grey..flying over moorland..any ideas what it was..in the uk
Answers:You really need to add more detail such as where (in the UK) you saw the bird, it sounds like a Hen Harrier or a Pallid Harrier as both are uniformly a pale grey. I don't think it would be a Goshawk as they tend to be dark grey
could be a hawk. I seen one before
hawk maybe
sounds like my mother in law lol
quite probably a sparrowhawk
Could have been a Marsh Harrier. Where are you in the UK?
I just Googled:
bird of prey in the united kingdom
and got some interesting sites. Perhaps you could look at the images and see if you recognize one.
Good luck!
Goshawk pronounced Gos - hawk
pidgeon you thick *!
pigeon?
Could be a peregrine (blue/Gray) if there were cliffs or rocky outcrops nearby, could be a sparrow hawk or a Merlin, or even a Buzzard at a distance. Where in England were you at the time?
wow you saw a bird.
