i want to decorate my birds cage for halloween2007-11-24 17:22:36

any fairly cheap ideas?

Please don't

Birds will chew anything, and many decorations can be toxic.

If you must, use human quality food items like fresh fruits or vegitables.

You didn't say what kind of bird.

The safest thing I can think of would be to carve apples into little jack-o-lanturns (don't need to hollow them, just cut the faces)

No pens please, nothing with metal, nothing from craft stores, no candy

get orange fabric and cover the cage, then

get a black marker and draw a weird looking

smile on the fabric. put a walkie talkie inside

the cage and leave it on, then when the bird

chirps it will be scary to the

trick - or - treaters.

I have a question: Why? You might put up something that the bird ingests and gets sick. Birds don't care about Halloween! Leave the poor bird out of it.

Get one of those pretty leaf garlands from a craft store and wrap it around in whatever way looks best with your cage. Careful though with whatever you decide to do; you don't want your birds nibbling at a decoration and choking.

id'e suggest only paper and Elmer's glue.. any long fibers (for webs) can get tangled around legs or choked on , any glass or small hard objects can be swallowed and cause death..just be vary careful what you chose parrots are vary curios birds ard will take apart any thing that arouses them.
