i want to get 2 racing pigeons will that be enough for them to fly around my house and come back to2007-11-24 17:22:37

I think the other guy is right. Carrier pigeons I believe are extinct. I'm not even sure if you can find any breed of pigeon that CAN return home like that. I would think though that two isn't enough. But you don't really want to go buy some and let them loose, they may not know how to fend for themselves. Also keep in mind that in some states it may be illegal to keep pigeons.

You can train almost any pigeons to do that.True carrier pigeons,I think they were called,are now extinct!

What you will have to do is breed a pair at your loft..Don't let the breeding pair that you bought out .They will fly back to the loft that they came from.

If you want your bird to come back be sure you train it well before setting it free.Don't pick any old pigeons..(because they come back to their owner)

it is enough to fly around and coming back ,But making sure you have squeakers or youngsters one..if you have old birds they will fly away to there home .Believe me after 3 months you will have more than 2 pigeons.Here some web site to look around for racing pigeons.
