this is the second bird ive had that has dies of a tumor and she was a girl..should i get a boy and boy? what should i do :(
Answers:I would wait awhile to get another mate for your bird.Another option you can try is to get a mirror sometimes birds find a comfort in being able to see themselves.They think it is another bird.
i think it would be best cuz you never know if the bird got it from the guy and maybe theres a tumor in the guy that passes on to the gurls

Get another female, tumor's have nothing to do with the sex of the bird.
I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my favorite bird due to egg binding--a problem that male birds never have. I think maybe that males have fewer health problems, but that's purely anecdotal from owning birds since the 60s.
First of all I give you my condolences to you. I don't think its good to put to males in the same cage because they are teritorial, so if you do get another male, I suggest putting them in seperate cages.
i am sorry,birds are prone to cancer and you have had more than a fair share.i have just lost one with bowel cancel.it will make no difference which sex you choose.
You haven't given much info.Type of bird etc.Most Tumors aren't contagious,and the sex of the bird does not matter.Do you know what kind of tumor?
Ask your pet shop for proper advice, but I personally think it should be 1 male and 1 female. Sorry about your bird, so sad.
most likely it was a rare occurrence, it seems like bad luck to me seeing as tumors aren't contagious. go for another female and hope you don't get another bird that just happens to have a tumor gene in its DNA.
