what do i do?

Answers:

Sometimes the most reserved birds do this. My shy Timneh Grey, Roscoe, was hyper like that a few days ago.

If you've changed his routine lately, you may want to revert the whole thing, and see whether he calms down. If he doesn't, and he's not sick, he probably needs some one-on-one and new scenery. Try taking his cage or play stand to the places you are the most, and treat him to healthy people-food. Non-stick coating fumes kill quickly and without warning, so use uncoated pans or the microwave.

You can play the "blanket game" with it, as long as it knows the "step-up" command. Just lay under a thin blanket with the bird, making an airy little 'tent', where only you and he can see each other. Even birds who are leery of being cuddled instinctively nestle near. It mimics a nest. It's also fun to pretend that you don't know the way out. When it finds light, praise it and reveal the outside world.

Hungry, maybe? Or excited to see you..
If he's not just greeting you & seems nervous & anxious..then I'd suggest you cover his cage. That should calm him down.
Number of questions that are relevant-how long have you had the bird, what species is it,is it a handfed bird,etc.-these answers would make a difference in the advice..
If you usually take him out of his cage,he wants
