my cat just drug in a baby bird its still alive what should i do2007-11-24 17:24:25

Can the bird fly? If it cannot fly, it will probably die.. Is it a big or baby bird? If it can fly.. then return it to the yard and perhaps it will fly away

If it's been scratched by the cat it'll end up dying. Feed it bird seed from the pet store.

In your situation I have scooped up the baby bird, ran out with it and released it high on a chain link fence.the bird got instantly on the other side and in a second was airborn.

Contact a wildlife rehabber in your area and drop off the bird. It is very hard to sucessfully raise an injured bird. It`s also the best thing you could do.

Flush said bird down toilet. There's nothing you can do to keep it alive. Or let kitty have it to let nature take it's place.
