my chicken seems to be shedding alot and looks alittle pale

when i found her, their basically her tail feather was gone, but in the chicken coup, i saw all her feathers their and im not sure if an animal attacked her or shes sick.

Hate to hear about your poor chicken. I would say something did that to her. Yes, chickens do lose their feathers but not like that. They molt.lose feathers but most times it's either all over or in spots like their backs or wings. I would call a local feed store..and ask. Save a $$ because a Vet usually don't treat chickens.

Please fix your Hen house so critters can't get in to hurt the chicks

Well.. If hses acting ok otherwise shes prob not sick.. Sounds like maybe an attack from something.. and she got away or possibly other chickens?? They will go after each other sometimes.

I would keep her inside your house or other 100% predator proof location until you can secure her area.

Keep in mind that if its something trying to get her it now knows where she is and got a taste for her and it WILL be back to finsih the job.

What you describe does not sound like molting.

Remember everything is a predator to a chicken,, Fox, mink , racoon, weasle can all climb fences .. mink and weasel can fit through very small fence holes as small as 2 inches sometimes

Ive seen mink work on a hole in chicken wire and get it worked open enough to get in t he pen.
