AND HE KICKS THE FOOD OUT ALL OVER THE PLACE. HOW CAN I STOP HIM FROM DOING THAT??
Answers:He probably can't get to his seed mix. They crack the seeds on the top layer of seed, so there's only gonna be husks on the top. Therefore he can't get uneaten seeds underneath. You're gonna have to blow the layer of husks off the top.
They love to do that a lot all my bird do that if you put him in clean area they love to put seed in the water . You cant do anything about
they're little messy
love bird from Puerto Rico
My cockatiel does the same thing, how I solved the problem was getting a seed dish that has a top so that the bird cannot get inside the dish. Probably all pet stores have that kind of dish available, I got mine from Wal-Mart.
Isn't it obvious that a bird would put its head in the food cup to eat. Smarty all birds do that, my birds too even the kicking part
buy a feeder with a cover over top so he cant get in his feeder to kick the food out their not expensive any pet shop sells them
you say he if it was a her she could be looking for a nesting site
