rogaine.
is he molting? Birds are supposed to occasionally shed their old feathers and grow new ones. Its a natural occurance called molting.
Of course it might be something else.
I think that means he is depressed or doesn't get enough attention. Maybe try to ask an expert on a pet site.
Is he "loosing" them, or "plucking" them? If it's "plucking", your bird has cabin-fever and needs to get out more and shown more attention. If they are just falling out.go see your bird vet.
If he is plucking them out himself then he is bored. Give him some toys to play with and a cuttlefish thing from the pet store to chew on. If they are just falling out for no reason he could have mites and you should take him to the vet.
he may have a bird fungus or molting ck with the vet
Usually a change of season causes a bird to moult or shed their feathers and re-grow new ones. its normal.
There are lots or reasons birds can lose there feathers. Like molting, plucking and even stress. If he is not molting, you should really check with a vet. Even if you think your bird is plucking his feathers, you should see a vet to make sure nothing is wrong.
birds shed their feather, this is called molting.
Is he just losing a few feathers (molting) or does he have large patches of baldness, like he might be plucking out his feathers?
